Times are changing here at Riordan! We are welcoming over 25 new Faculty and Staff and over 200 girls. Given the unique nature of the 20-21 school year, all admissions events and activities will be offered virtually. However, we are committed to ensuring that these events are substantive, interactive and representative of the strengths of our Mercy community. Our first Admissions event is  Girls Beyond the Screen, taking place on September 28th . In order to help students experience the excitement of our STEM and Visual and Performing Arts classes, we will be sending registrants packets prior to this event that will help them interact with our teachers and students during select project-based lessons and activities. I will be sending information about this event. We also want to note our upcoming  Virtual Open House, taking place on November 8th . During this event, parents and students will be able to take a virtual tour and hear directly from our administration, teachers, students and parents.   Student Experiences  (via Zoom) Dates:  Sept. 28 - Oct. 8  (Mon-Thurs) Times:  9am-10am  or  2pm-3pm Reservations will go live on  Monday, Sept. 14 at noon . Please encourage students to attend one of these events to get a glimpse into academics at SI.  They only last an hour, so hopefully there will be minimal disruptions to class time.  STAR tests next week - remember these scores will be sent to high schools. STAR Reading: Tuesday 09/01 I will split the class into 2 groups. Group 1: 10 -10:30am   Group 2  10:30 -11am STAR Math: Wednesday 09/02 and Thursday 09/03.
