SFUSD application information

Please encourage all applicants to use the District's new Online Application for 2021-22. The application will open on October 26, and the deadline will be February 5th. The Online Application will be accessible through ParentVue at portal.sfusd.edu or sfusd.edu/onlineapp . Paper applications will also be available in the lobby at 555 Franklin Street for those who are unable to access the internet. Letters with instructions for accessing the Online Application will be mailed to all transitional grade students in SFUSD in a few days. Also, please encourage families to attend the SFUSD Virtual Enrollment Fair taking place November 6-13th. Links for all the workshops and individual school town hall meetings will be posted at sfusd.edu/virtual-fair-2020. "Stories of Kristallnacht and Black Lives" event at the Farkas Center (FYI)

I am writing to let you know about an upcoming program from the Farkas Center in commemoration of Kristallnacht that is particularly relevant for students right now. The Mission of the Farkas Center is the study of the Holocaust in Catholic Schools. A description of the program follows: When Prejudice turns Lethal: Stories of Kristallnach and Black Lives On November 9, 1938, the Nazi's orchestrated deadly anti-Jewish riots throughout Germany while its police and citizens stood by. On May 25, 2020, police officers stood by as one of their own killed an unarmed, black man suspected of passing a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill. In light of the violence against black citizens today, how do we transform vulnerability into empowerment? This on-line event will take place on Monday, Nov. 9, from 4 - 6 pm on Zoom. Sacred Heart Open House info

On behalf of our Administration and Faculty, we would like to invite your students and families to learn about the academic, social and spiritual possibilities for growth at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (SHC). Our annual Open House is an excellent opportunity for families to interact with our entire community. Open House will be held virtually on Saturday, October 24, from 9-11 am.
